Color lithograp by Antonio Saura "Nombre de curés", Sheet 1, 1977 Lithograph and zincograph in colours 59,5 x 88 cm Copy 95/125 Edition of 129 Antonio Saura (Huesca, Spain 1930–1998 Cuenca) found his great theme in the human figure. Saura was a painter of the abyss, of turmoil and pain, but also a painter whose gestural-expressive power makes us hope for a breakthrough behind the pain. It is the connection with the great predecessors and occasional role models that makes Antonio Saura an outstanding painter of the twentieth century and one of the most original artists of the second half of the twentieth century.
